IFC Recruitment

LSU IFC Formal Recruitment is designed to give students the opportunity to meet all 18 chapters and find the fraternity that is the right fit for them. Following Formal Recruitment, Continuous Bidding provides an additional opportunity for eligible students to connect with chapters that have available spaces. Whether through Formal Recruitment or Continuous Bidding, the goal is simple: find a brotherhood where you feel at home and can grow throughout your LSU experience.

2026 IFC Parents Convocation

IFC FORMAL RECRUITMENT ATTIRE GUIDE

  • Day 1, Round 1a

    Start recruitment comfortable and casual. You will receive your official IFC recruitment T-shirt during Convocation, which should be worn for Round 1A. Pair the shirt with gym shorts or khaki shorts and tennis shoes. This round is all about meeting new people and getting comfortable with the recruitment experience, so keep it simple and come ready to be yourself.

  • Day 2, Round 1b

    For Round 1B, step it up slightly with a polo shirt, khaki shorts, and tennis shoes. Keep your look clean, comfortable, and appropriate for a full day of recruitment. The focus is on making connections and getting to know the chapters, so dress comfortably and confidently.

  • Day 3, Round 2

    Round 2 calls for a more polished look. Wear a polo shirt with slacks or khaki pants. Tennis shoes or dress shoes are both appropriate, so choose whichever fits your personal style while keeping the overall look clean and put together. This is a great opportunity to show a little more of your personal style while staying comfortable throughout the day.

  • Day 4, Round 3

    For Round 3, formal recruitment attire becomes more elevated. Wear a button-down shirt with slacks, khaki pants, or dress pants, paired with tennis shoes or dress shoes. A coat is optional, but it is not commonly worn given the August heat. The goal is to look polished while still staying comfortable and confident throughout the final round.
