Who we are

The Louisiana State University Interfraternity Council (IFC) represents 18 fraternities and nearly 2,200+ members, making it one of the largest communities on LSU’s campus. Since 1867, LSU fraternities have built a legacy rooted in brotherhood, leadership, scholarship, service, and tradition.

Fraternity life is about more than the social experience. It is about finding a community that challenges you to grow socially, academically, and professionally. Our chapters provide opportunities to build lifelong friendships, develop leadership skills, get involved across campus, and create a foundation for success long after graduation.

Our impact extends beyond the LSU campus. Together, our chapters contribute thousands of hours of community service and raise significant funds for philanthropic causes throughout Baton Rouge and beyond. From chapter-specific philanthropy events to Greek Week, where the community comes together to support Habitat for Humanity, our members are committed to using their time and resources to make a difference.

The relationships built through fraternity life also extend well beyond college. Our members become part of a lifelong network of fraternity brothers, alumni, and professionals across Louisiana, the country, and the world. Whether it is a first job, a mentorship opportunity, or simply a familiar face in a new city, the connections made through fraternity life continue long after graduation.
